• Obtaining, checking and preparing documentation to meet customs need. • Checking translation of the documents of each & every shipment arriving. • Sending pre alert emails with all the documents to the concern transporter. • Liaising with third parties to move goods in accordance with client’s requirements. • Requesting custom duty from the client on time & ensure the transfer of the amount is made before the shipment clears from customs. • Co-ordinate with Custom Broker in solving discrepancies /problem in documentation. • Utilizing e-commerce, internet technology and satellite systems to enable real-time tracking of goods; • Prepare quotation for Freight & Custom Clearance job in coordination with the GM. • Update the tracking sheet with shipment status and send to the client on daily basis. • Quote Agents & Customers for all DD shipments and co-ordinate with them on documentation requirements. • Make sure all the cargo is pulled out & delivered to its concerned destination after the custom clearance. • Billing & Invoicing of all the service charges on the basis of Contracts & Quotations. • Maintain all the reports related to all the shipments belong to the projects. • Distribution of Invoices with attachments to client& concerned departments. • Immediate follow up of discrepancies in invoices. • Follow up & ensure the payments are made as per agreed terms. • Interface between Finance & Customs Clearance Team for smooth document & transaction flow. • Adheres to Corporate Polices & procedures • Meeting with clients locally & overseas to discuss the forecast of the project. • Any other related duties / projects assigned by the General Manager from time to time to meet the business emergency. • Working closely with customers, colleagues and third parties to ensure smooth operations to deadlines; • The role involves managing staff and overseeing activities within a department or specializing in a particular area, such as sea freight or air freight.
