      Kazahturkmunay - a joint venture operating company formed between national oil companies of Kazakhstan and Turkey. It is the second largest investor in Kazakhstan after JV Tengizchevroil (TCO) in early independence days of the country with approximately 400 MM$ within 4 years and with 50 rigs operating in 4 regions including Aktau, Aktobe, Atyrau and Uralsk. Initiated the production and workover activities in Aktau and Atyrau regions. Set up the regional offices and the production teams of the company and successfully started the operations in the regions of Aktau and Atyrau by taking over the control of 20+ operating rigs and the wells ready for testing. It was one of the first international JV activities just after the collapse of SSSR and the recently announced independence of the country. Commenced 7,000 bopd pilot oil and gas production in Kazakhstan from Bekbolat and East Saztobe fields by implementing the Test Production Project after drilling of 6 producers and constructing the early production facilities in 1995. Successfully established the operations despite the extreme uncertainties in the country’s regulations, procedures and standards during their transition period to be an independent country. Continuously communicated and worked with the state authorities like governor, ecology department, subsoil protection agency, technical inspection agency, sanitary department and many others in order to clarify the regulations related to our operations. Managed whole production and workover operations and most of the procurement activities with a team of 70+ employees and a main contractor then called Mangistaugeologia in the Aktau region of Kazakhstan.
