Social Media Intern, Contributor

Sep 2018 - Mar 2019
I sourced, organised and scheduled content for Far Out Magazine's two Instagram channels (almost 18,000 followers at my point of departure) and two Facebook pages (over 127,000 likes at my point of departure) - this involved searching for relevant artworks, photographs, TV segments, and film clips. I also took on a minor graphical design role in designing the magazine's Instagram and Facebook story features, updating them three times a week. This role led to the magazine allowing me to aid in their creation of a photography interview series, ‘In Focus’, and I also contributed music-based articles. Show less

Founding Editor
-
Feb 2014 - Feb 2019
Founding the magazine in 2014, I managed a team of students across UK, who each had several writers working with them. Our magazine largely reviewed albums from a variety of genres, but also included interviews with various artists and event organisers, as well as commentaries linking music to history and politics. Our articles were featured on larger online publications such as Far Out Magazine and The Playground. From 2017, we also focused on event organisation, holding events at venues such as Antwerp Mansion in Manchester, Wiff Waff in Durham, and Musiquarium in Leeds. Show less
