Ijaz Hussain Bajwa

The study aims to find the effectiveness of intervention package for reducing health and environmental effects of working in the textile mills. Key responsibilities: - Develop study instruments, data collection SOPs, and coordinate with Ethical Review Committee and National Bioethics Committee (NBC) Pakistan- Lead implementation of field research activities including baseline and follow-up surveys - Lead statistical and econometric analysis of baseline survey primary data using Stata- Lead meetings with Government departments, Business Associations, Industry and trade associations for ensuring their participation in study (led 80+ meetings with textile mills management)- Conduct monitoring & evaluation (M&E) of the study and fidelity of the trial - Prepared electronic data collection tool for real-time data collection from field sites, and ensuring data quality through multiple cross-checks with daily field reports, internal audits.- Building rapport with Senior management of textile mills management to ensure their continuous support- Conducting capacity building workshops of senior management of mills on occupational health and safety (OHS) and productivity linkages as part of intervention package- Writing manuscripts for publication in scientific journals
