• Collect and Analyze Vibration Data: As a Category 2 Certified CBM Engineer, my primary responsibility is to collect and analyze vibration data from various types of rotary equipment, such as motors, pumps, belt conveyors, bucket elevators, blowers and compressors. This includes using vibration monitoring equipment, such as accelerometers and vibration analyzers such as CSI 2140, to collect and analyze data.• Perform In-Situ Dynamic Balancing: Responsible for performing in-situ dynamic balancing of equipment using portable balancing equipment, such as CSI 2140. This includes identifying the correct balance plane, taking measurements, and making adjustments to correct any imbalances.• Conduct Fault Analysis: Responsible for conducting fault analysis of rotary equipment using AMS Machinery Health Manager software to identify potential problems, such as misalignment, bearing wear, or gear damage. This includes using vibration data and other diagnostic tools to identify the root cause of any issues and recommend solutions.• Review Infrared Thermography Reports: Responsible for reviewing infrared thermography reports submitted by junior engineers and providing feedback and recommendations as needed.• Amend Equipment Databases: Responsible for making necessary amendments to equipment databases using AMS Machinery Health Manager software to ensure that data is accurate and up-to-date.• Prepare Reports: To prepare reports summarizing findings and recommendations for corrective action. This includes communicating the findings to maintenance and operations personnel and providing them with clear and actionable recommendations.• Follow Safety Guidelines: To follow all safety guidelines and procedures when working with equipment and conducting measurements.
