  As a Postdoctoral Fellow at UMMS, worked on the design, synthesis and biological evaluation of new HCV NS3/4A protease inhibitors to target drug-resistant variants of the virus and synthesized series of linear and macrocyclic analogues of the approved drug grazoprevir to identify protease inhibitors with improved potency and resistance profile.   Qarshi Research International Pvt Ltd (QRI) was established in March 2003 as testing providing sister concern of Qarshi Industries Pvt Ltd. I was appointed as First Manger of QRI; a cluster of six laboratories whose scope extended in chemistry and microbiological testing. In April 2003 we were the first ISO 17025 internationally accredited labs from Norwegian Accreditation (NA) and third national accredited lab from Pakistan National Accreditation Council (PNAC). Initially, I worked as a technical expert for chemistry and Deputy Quality Manager, later as Quality Manager for ISO 17025.
