  I Joined ARL in the capacity of In charge Civil works. The department comprised of about 15 personnel that were directly reporting to me in different capacities. I was appointed with the core responsibility to carry out civil works related to Attock Refinery Up gradation Project (ARUP) worth 40.0 Million US$ In this position I accomplished the following, • Evaluation of bids for civil works involving review of tender documents, technical evaluation and finalization of contract • Design review of construction work. • Project Costing • Periodic supervision of construction work • Close co-ordination with the job executors of reputed multinational company (Mitsui Engineering and Ship Building Corporation, Japan) • Negotiation and finalization of change orders after detailed review. My major contribution in this regard was change order negotiation of Rs. 6.9 million. In addition to above, my responsibilities also included routine maintenance and construction of all civil structures of ARL As Senior Engineer (Civil) Design, the civil construction works for ARL Power Plant Project was completed. I also looked after the 12” dia, 184 Km Product Pipe Line Project. As a permanent task, I took care of QA/ QC for all Civil Engineering jobs to ensure high quality standards. I was In-charge and responsible for the supervision of all the civil construction works for the plant and ancillary works. This assignment involved all phases of construction from basic layout to final completion of the civil structures required for the plant erection. The notable features of my project were, • Technical review of construction drawings • Structures for 400 ton Kiln the height of which was 12 meter • Construction of dam for storage and neutralization of plant effluents • Construction of ten storey frame structure for crushing and grinding of chromium ore and chain of process buildings till bagging unit.
