Job description: 1. Produced the formulated water-based and organic solvent-based chemical adhesive which carried out using polymerization, room temperature mixing, and hotmelt methods. 2. Checked and analyzed the quality of produced adhesive in terms of viscosity, solid/non-volatile content, softening point, UV test, and foaming parameters, which were carried out using several instrumentations such as rotary viscometer, viscometer thermoseal, moisture meter, and UV tester. 3. Prepared the adhesive for coating application. 4. Made a logbook for daily journal during internship program. 5. Made a systematic report of internship program activities. Show less

Joined the lecturer's research project for MBKM Program with the topic entitled "The Effect of MgO to SiO2 Mass Ratios on Catalytic Activity of MgO/SiO2 in Coconut Oil Transesterification". Activities of this research as follow: 1. Synthesis of MgO/SiO2 heterogeneous catalyst based on supported silica catalyst (SiO2) extracted from rice husks and with MgO using sol-gel method. 2. Characterization of the synthesized MgO/SiO2 catalyst using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF), and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) instrumentations. 3. Activation test of MgO/SiO2 as catalyst for methyl esters (biodiesel) production converted from coconut oil with methanol through transesterification process. 4. Characterized the methyl esters composition using GC-MS and tested its feasibility as biodiesel using physical and chemical parameters. Show less
