This project has two key components: capacity building and product knowledge creation. Sekolah Iklim is funded by the GEF Small Grants Programme implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).I oversee the general progress and operations of Sekolah Iklim. I lead the planning and coordination of the capacity building workshops as well as assisting our research associate to produce the projects research report. A key responsibility is to produce the project and financial reports to UNDP. This includes presenting and attending trainings held by UNDP. I am also tasked with Sekolah Iklim’s financial tracking and team coordination. Show less

  Project Title: Deep-Dive Research into Decent Work Challenges & Opportunities in Malaysia’s Rubber Glove Supply Chain I oversaw the overall stakeholder engagement operations and handled key communications with the client and project leads. Furthermore, I was tasked with leading several stakeholder interviews, and smallholder engagement as well as being fundamental to the worker focus group discussions. Interacting with various companies, CSOs, and government agencies was a unique and distinctive opprtunity. In addition, I coordinated the projects scheduling, logistics, and division of personnel and labour. I also assisted in preparing presentations and briefing the clients. I was also tasked with transcription and data analysis as well as being involved in financial tracking. Key Contributions: • Produced 27 stakeholder interview sessions in 2 months compared to the project’s previous 5 interviews in 5 months. A 540% increase in only 40% of the time. • Led all worker focus group discussions and interactions with foreign workers. • Delivered multiple key stakeholder engagements through proactive and thorough initiatives. • Briefed and guided new team members on the background, processes, and status of the overall project. • Encouraged and fostered collaborative and positive team interactions.   Project Title: Rapid Rural Appraisal (RRA) with the Orang Asli Jakun Communities of the South-East Pahang Peat Swamp Forest (SEPPSF) I was responsible for various tasks including sourcing and reaching out to relevant contacts and Persons-In-Charge as well as coordinating and formulating the activities of the team as well as the trajectory of the project. Generating data by interviewing individuals and groups as well as recording the notes of these interactions were key parts of my work. Interacting with different individuals in the local communities was the most rewarding aspect of the experience and I cherish the opportunity to form bonds with some awesome individuals. Additionally, I was tasked with collecting and tracking significant GPS points especially when entering peat swamp forests which were a very unique and interesting assignment.
