I am involved in researching and drafting the memorandum for both the Applicant and Respondent. This experience was truly enlightening, providing me with valuable insights into critical issues of counter-claims under the ICJ, particularly concerning alleged violations of immunities from measures of constraint. Specifically, I explored the implications of allowing the issuance of a discovery order against a foreign country's assets within its territory, while also carefully assessing the admissibility of these counter-claims. This overall well-educated experience allowed me to showcase our university's legal expertise and enriched my understanding of public international law, as I've gained considerable experience in private international law over the course of these years. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to participate in this prestigious event and appreciate the support and guidance I received throughout the process. Show less

    • Delegate for the 20th Willem C. Vis East International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition
      • Sep 2022 - Mar 2023

The Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot aims to encourage the study of international commercial law and arbitration. The Vis Moot provides students with practical experience in resolving international business disputes. In the Vis Moot, advocacy skills are developed in two crucial phases: writing memoranda for Claimants and Respondents and giving oral arguments before arbitration practitioners and academics. Forensic analysis and a written exercise require participants to resolve contract questions that arise from a sale or purchase of goods under the contract relating to the sale or purchase of goods governed by the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, as well as other uniform international commercial laws. It has been an honor for me to represent Universitas Sebelas Maret as a Team Member and as a Main Oralist - Provided arguments for both parties in the dispute, as well as memoranda for the competition that took place in Hong Kong in March 2023. - Oral plead on behalf of the Claimant and Respondent in the Substantive Matter, addressing the issue of whether the entire contract was misrepresented from the outset and exploring the application of soft laws to rectify any gaps in the substantive law. - Achieved the rank of 122nd oralist out of 350+ oralists worldwide Show less
