  From April 2013 to date worked as Principal Geologist/ Site Incharge on the following projects:Satpara Development Project Skardu (Gilgit Baltistan),7 Medium dams project Sindh,5th Extension Hydro Power Projecr Tarbela.From 2007 to March 2013 worked as Principal Geologist/ site Incharge for the feasibility study, detailed engineering design and preparation of tender documents by a Joint Venture of M/s Mott MacDonald Ltd,UK, Sogreah Consultants SAS France, Nippon Koei Co., Japan, MM Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd., Pakistan and Development and Management Consultants Pakistan. Bunji Hydropower Project has been identified as the single largest Hydropower of the country. This Project has the potential of about 7100 MW Power generation capacity.- As a Principal Geologist/Site Incharge supervised all geological and geotechnical investigations at proposed dam sites, power house sites, Tunnel alignments, barrow areas and reservoir area.- Geological mapping, engineering geological mapping, Scan line discontinuity survey.- Ground verification of Lineaments.- Site Selection for bore holes.- Adit mapping on Packge-3 & 4 at Powerhouse site.- Plate Load Tests at Adits.- Installation of Inclinometer at Boreholes BL-9A, BL-11 and monitoring.- Installation of piezometers at 22 nos. boreholes at Dam and Powerhouse sites and their monitoring.- Checking of on-going activities at site like drilling, logging, Insitu Testing with new British method i.e. TCR, SCR and RQD.- Conducted field visits with Expatriate staff and coordination meetings about site activities and planning.- Preparation of reports and memoranda about geological investigations.   Worked as Geology Specialist on the Project “Hydrological &Geological Studies, Channelization of Nullahs & Design Review of Structure in Thor Colony Diamar Basha Dam”.Performed geological mapping, scanline discontinuity survey, identification of sliding zones and identified suitable sites for protective structures. Prepared final reports for the client.

• GABRAL-KALAM HYDROPOWER PROJECT

  • 2000 - 2002

  A joint venture project with M/s Fitchner of Germany Carried out Geological/Geotechnical survey for four possible alternates with as power potential 100-150 MW - Developed a map on scale 1:20,000 using enlargement of SOP survey sheets (scale 1:50,000) and hand held GPS set. A map of the project area on scale 1:10,000 is prepared with the help of "Green labs" using the GPS points and satellite image of the area. - Preparation of preliminary geological /geotechnical report for comparison of alternate project layouts. - The information about the geology of Weir/dam sites, tunnel alignments, gates shafts and power houses area was collected. - Samples of rock and soil were collected and got tested for use in construction of the project.
