Within the CERT Student Mentor Programme, my role is to support the undergraduate first year Architecture students with their transition into university and follow their journey to the end of their year. The integration of the current curriculum as well as the coordinating independent activities encourages students to settle into life at NTU with ease.

Student Ambassador

As a Student Ambassador, my role consisted of connecting prospective university applicants with current students to help them find out more about the Architecture, Built Environment and Planning department to give them an opportunity to help decide if NTU is the right path for them. In 2019, after winning an entry to complete the European Creative & SMART Cities Challenge, I was awarded NTU’s Student Ambassador by NTU, Nottingham City Council, and the Lord Mayor of Nottingham.

RIBA Future Architects Mentoring Scheme

The RIBA facilitated mentoring programme is offered to grant selected 3rd year Architecture students an opportunity to connect with an architect, in my case: Matt McCreith from GT3 Architects. The programme maintained my organisational skills and allowed me to gain experience and insight into the profession. Matt’s great insight aided me to develop my CV/Portfolio and access practical advice.
