Under the overall authority of the Secretary-General, the guidance of the Under-Secretary-General for TIDE, and the direct supervision of the Chief of Section – Software Research and Development, the Information and Cyber Security Specialist oversees monitoring all operations and infrastructures, preventing computer viruses, security lapses, and harmful hacker attacks on computers, networks, information, and data. They are also responsible for testing software and digital platforms developed by the Section for security based on the existing industry standards.
