The company must be active, with a minimum turnover of $100,000. 4. The controlling stake of the company must remain overseas. How long does the visa last? 1. You will receive a three-year residency permit (BRP). a. The residency is renewed after three years. 2. After completing five years in the UK, you can apply for permanent residency (ILR). 3. After receiving ILR, the following year, you can apply for British Citizenship. How long does the process take? The overall process, in order to secure the sole representative visa, can take up to 12 weeks.
