Sarah is a hugely talented marketer. But she's more than that. The art of marketing is not just knowing how to design and deliver a successful campaign or produce copy that really resonates, connects with and speaks to its desired audience. Sarah is highly capable across the marketing disciplines, but it's her interpersonal approach that really allow her talents to shine. She has an 'always on' ability to build and nurture solid relationships, even in the most pressured of projects. She takes the time to engender a partnership ethos to delivery, transcending functional boundaries and ensures that every stakeholder is informed, involved and excited to participate. And she makes damn sure that everyone involved in a project understands how they contributed to the project outcomes, making it clear to the leadership and the board that effective marketing is more than just delivering solid metrics, it is creating an environment that enables value through relationships. Sarah is methodical, organised, and offers well thought out solutions and innovative ideas to business challenges. She is also bags of fun, with a dry sense of humour and has been an absolute pleasure to work with.

I recruited and managed Sarah at Nottingham City Council and was always impressed by her strong marketing skills. These were clearly demonstrated in tactical marketing of projects such as the Nottingham Growth Plan and the Nottingham apprenticeships scheme. Sarah’s day to day management of campaigns showed both sound project management and a flair for innovation. For example for the apprenticeships campaign she used a mix of marketing channels to target and engage with both young people and employers, successfully challenging perceptions of apprenticeships to drive behaviour change and increase take up.
