My job assignment was to give general music instruction to students in grades K-5 on a daily basis. Instruction included the methods of Kodaly and Orff-Schulwerk. Students were expected to learn a repertoire of patriotic songs. You can learn American History through songs. School assemblies utilized these songs on a regular basis.. Contemporary songs were included in weekly instruction. Introducing current selections also keeps the lessons fresh & vibrant. Every child needs music in their life! Show less
