  Currently working as risk head for Retail Finance portfolio L&T Financial services, responsible for risk management of credit risk and operational risk. L&T Financial services is Non Banking financial service company listed on stock exchange. I started my career as a relationship officer in Bank of Maharashtra at Fort branch in Mumbai.After having handled many large corporate borrower, I was posted at Foreign Exchange division. There I gained experience of handling trade finance, SWIFT operations. I was promoted as Chief of FX Treasury soon. I played a crucial role in the bank, when foreign exchange markets were being freed/ opened up in 1996-98. I helped bank double the trading profits. After working as a chief dealer, I joined Thomas Cook (then controlled by London bases company), as a Chief Dealer. Thomas Cook is only non-banking Full Fledged Authorised Dealer in Foreign Exchange. After handling responsibility there for 4 years, I joined TATA Amex as a chief of Treasury. I got a opportunity to work as VP Investment Banking and VP Recovery of stressed assets in Global Trust Bank prior to merger with OBC. The experience gained in handling complex assignment was very useful, Just before merger with OBC, I left the bank joined L&T Finance. Initially I handled responsibility of MIS, Budgeting and back office for trading desk.Subsequently I was heading operations dept and Process Cell. The company did not have separate Operations dept. I handled responsibility of setting up Operations dept, setting up process cell and then setting up Risk Dept. There was no Risk Dept in the company till 2014. I have overall 31 years of work experience in different departments in banking & finance industry.
