  Most recently with RapiMech; I installed a manual sortation system at a live distribution centre for Amazon. I was the Primary Contractor Supervisor - liaising at any one time with up to 5 subcontractor teams; 3 project managers; and leading my own team of up to 10 men. This project was part of a pilot program for amazon, with 17 similar projects rolling out in 2020. My project has been cited as a case study for the full program roll out in 2021; as we were the only one that exceeded all of Amazon’s KPIs as well as delivering the fully working system ahead of schedule. In addition, I’ve delivered a much broader scope of work with RapiMech - In charge of a van and supervising it’s team for nationwide work. I pride myself in my skills on the tools; as well as being able to spot and prevent potential issues before they occur. We specialise in delivering installation and maintenance services in the conveyor belt industry; working with various types of conveyor systems, including robotics and the use of access and lifting equipment. I have delivered work for the likes of LAC, Caljan and Conveyor Networks on behalf of clients such as Amazon, DPD, Hermes, H&M - in supervisory, client facing roles.

  I worked in a busy workshop environment making and maintaining various roller and belt conveyors. Sovex supplied us with engineering drawings to enable production with a range of fitting practices. Typical tasks included machine production; machine leveling with belt tracking; belt wrapping and joining; chain and belt drive; hydraulic setting and other maintenance practices.   Spending over a year working for Jaguar Land Rover I expanded my knowledge to full automotive production. During my time I familiarised myself with PLC systems, roller beds, conveyors, pneumatics, weld timers, ultrasonic testing and I/O systems to name but a few. Using my experience I was able to add to the maintenance team with service and fault finding work. I also learnt how to use the ABB series 3, 4 and 5 robots navigating programs - resequencing and using the modpos function.
