As the Data Center Engineer, my current responsibilities include: - Operate and maintain critical environment facility equipment during routine repair and casualty moments ensuring data center up time is maintained. - Proficient in building management system controls (BMS) to operate HVAC systems, electrical monitoring, fire/life safety and UPS battery monitoring systems. - Adapt at system evaluation and optimization tuning settings to provide peak energy efficiency and system stability while maintaining the highest reliability and uptime. - Supervising Shift Engineer/Remote Hands Technicians, mentors’ new employees in company policies, site processes, and equipment procedures for operational equipment and customer equipment. - Works directly and indirectly with customers to provide systems level remote hands activities at the rack and server level. - Serve as site administrator for Salesforce & MCIM, tasks include; work tasking & and schedules, inspecting, and correcting work order tickets for critical maintenance. - Manages the emergency operating procedure (EOP) and method of procedure (MOP) program onsite and on MCIM. - Maintains an annually audited fuel calculation and storage program in compliance with local environmental & government regulations. - Solicit proposals for outsourced work to include the commissioning of new equipment and data center builds.
