After working in the IT consulting industry for over 12 years, I took the plunge into entrepreneurship for the first time at 39. Whitepaper Solutions, as the name suggests, was symbolic of being technology-agnostic and devoid of any preconceived notions, just like a clean slate. As an IT consulting firm, we only suggested and implemented ERP and other solutions after gaining a deep understanding of client's businesses and their needs. While shifting roles in your late thirties might seem conflicting and challenging, my intrapreneurial experiences in my previous roles helped me navigate the constant uncertainty that comes with entrepreneurship. Whitepaper Solutions has served 40 clients across five industries: manufacturing, retail, warehouse, construction, and FMCG. We grew to a seven-figure revenue within our first year and thereby have grown at an average of more than 100% YoY. Some of our clients include industry leaders like Coca-Cola and Prestige Constructions. We are a team of 70 people with 40 full-time and 30 contract employees; we intend to grow further in the upcoming years. As a startup founder, everything is your responsibility; the same was the case with me. However, here were my key responsibilities: - Actively carry out lead generation activities and on boarded the first few clients - Managed finance, recruitment and payroll - Actively engaged in business development and project delivery for overseas clientele as well as multinationals in India - Anything else that needed to be done Show less After working in the IT consulting industry for over 12 years, I took the plunge into entrepreneurship for the first time at 39.
