As a summer fellow for Saha Global I worked to raise funds to travel to Tamale, Ghana. This money was used to fund a clean water initiative in the village of Kagbal. While in Ghana I traveled to Kagbal every day for three weeks, where I worked with a three other fellows and a translator to implement a self-sufficient clean water business run by three local women entrepreneurs. High School Scholar's Intern
-
Jan 2013 - Apr 2013
As the High School Scholar's Program Intern for FLOC I worked closely with the high school students in FLOC's afters-school program. I was responsible with coordinating an east coast college tour for thirty FLOC high school juniors. I contacted an array of colleges to set up tours for the FLOC students and arranged low-cost activities and restaurant stop in each city. I also assisted in classroom lessons, and facilitated a lesson on education around the globe. Additionally, I was in charge of switching FLOC's filing system from paper to electronic using the TRAX database. Show less
