- Established a relationship with Midwest Transport Inc. (MTI). MTI was looking to utilize my strategic technical skills to analyze their back office operational processes and current procured systems to find opportunities in efficiencies and reduce costs. However, MTI got audited by the Department of Labor immediately changing the priority from a strategic objective to a tactical technical objective. They needed a solution to verify, validate and audit Hours of Service (HOS) of 500 employees (truck drivers) to scheduled work hours. Designed and developed a solution using c#, .NET Core, RESTful API and MS SQL Server (as well as other technologies) to integrate MTI’s 3rd party Electronic Logging Device system (GeoTab’s ELD and Fleet Management System). Using web API, REST and GeoTab’s object model to get a real-time data feed of HOS from GeoTab, provide real-time analytics, business insights and telemetry data to aid in decision making at the senior management level, auditing for accounting and DOL and contract negotiation with customers. - Work with 2 different clients’ Sr. Management team on business process management improvements. Focus on moving to Azure cloud and shorting cash flow cycle via business to business electronic communication (EDI). - Worked with a client, an internet startup company selling pharmaceuticals online, with annual revenue of 60 million, to provide an overall IT assessment and recommendations for - Worked with a customer / consulting company to develop 2 mobile applications for the logistics industry. Both apps were designed and built using MS Azure tools and both apps run in MS Azure Cloud. Responsibilities included cloud architecture design, prototyping, solution collaboration, technology stack recommendations and project management. - Filled the role of sales engineer / service delivery manager in closing sales within the sales cycle process for delivering solutions, partnership alignment and IT services delivery. Product Manager (Acting CEO for FreightRover) / Product Solution Designer and Architect
-
Mar 2015 - Feb 2017
- After proactively engaged Celadon Trucking’s senior management and “C” level executives, which lead to collaboration sessions and the idea of FreightRover.com - Hired as the Leader to start a new division named Prosair Technologies, LLC. The project was allocated 1 million dollar annual budget and was to grow the team and complete the project as well as educate Celadon leadership on all aspects of custom software development. - FreightRover is a multi-dimensional, controlled and transparent load board market place that can be utilized uniquely by Shippers, Carriers, Drivers and Brokers. - Designed as a cloud based SaaS application comprised of a desktop web application and a mobile iOS and Android application. - Shippers utilize the application to post loads to a private load board where a collection of carriers defined by the shipper can access the loads and either dispatch the loads to their drivers or the carrier can allow their drives to self-select loads. If the load is not select or assigned to a driver then the load can then be pushed to the public load board where any carrier can select the load. - Carriers can utilize the application and place their overflow freight on the private or public load board. Carrier can use the private load board to allow only their owner operators (aka subcontracted drivers) to self-select loads to create business separation and avoid legalities that the drivers are truly not independent / non carrier employees. - FreightRover’s mobile application allows for the drivers to browse and select the loads. Once the load is awarded to the driver it then dispatches and routes the driver to the ship from location for pickup. Once the drive departs the ship from location it continues to route the driver to the ship to location and tracks the load for the shipper and consignee have visibility / track and trace the load through the transit process.
