  Dubai, United Arab Emirates Since 2004, I’ve been the Owner and General Manager of Techno Rig Group FZCO in Dubai, a company which provides world class Design, Fabrication, Refurbishment, and Re-Certification services for the Oil and Gas industry. I’ve worked in many countries and held several Senior positions, starting from an Engineer Trainee level to Staff Engineer, Rig Manager, Operations Manager, and… Show more Since 2004, I’ve been the Owner and General Manager of Techno Rig Group FZCO in Dubai, a company which provides world class Design, Fabrication, Refurbishment, and Re-Certification services for the Oil and Gas industry. Prior to that, I’ve enjoyed more than 30 years of Oilfield and Drilling Services experience with Schlumberger. I’ve worked in many countries and held several Senior positions, starting from an Engineer Trainee level to Staff Engineer, Rig Manager, Operations Manager, and finally QHSE Manager. I’ve also completed more than 70 courses and seminars in Oilfield Services Operations, Management, Finance and QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety and Environment). During my time in the oil & gas industry, I have been involved in various projects on refurbishing major drilling equipment, either complete drilling packages or single components of a drilling rig. I also supported in compiling work scopes and details for rig refurbishments and upgrades. Moreover, I assisted with new drilling package designs of various Deep Drilling & Workover rigs in the Middle East, and the implementation of the testing of all the major components of these drilling rigs.   Algeria I was accountable for the safe, profitable and environmentally responsible performance of Drilling Services in the North Africa Geomarket (NAG). I was in charge of marketing and contracting all Drilling Services rigs in North Africa, including the HUNT drilling project in Niger (3 exploration wells with Rig 47). I managed to get a new contract for two land Rigs with BHP. I generated additional revenues by renting the extra camp caravans to Ourhoud.   Sultanate of Oman I was responsible for the safe and profitable operation of Rig 91 and Rig 19 working for PDO (Shell). I managed to get a lump sum Rig move contract with TOTAL.

• Sedco Forex Schlumberger District Manager Syria

  • Jul 1994 - Aug 1998

  Syria I was in charge of reorganising the district and recovered lost Shell Business (4 Rigs contract lost in March 94). I managed to get a new contract with AFPC (Shell). I reactivated Rig 11 after being redundant for 2 years. Moreover, I managed to rent an extra camp to Shell during the blowout accident in 1995.

• Sedco Forex Schlumberger Rig Manager West Africa Nigeria - Port Harcourt,

  Nigeria I was the manager of two-swamp barge Searex 12 & 8, working for Shell. I managed Rig 24, and drilled two wells for Chevron. I also started up the Jack-Up Sednes 202 for Abacan with Integrated Services. Finally, I managed to get a contract with Shell to use the stacked swamp barge Searex 8 as accommodation barge for their employees.

  France I was a trainee with Sedco Forex Schlumberger in Pau France Training Center - rig operations hands on work, up to Driller level.
