      Matthew Gabler started working for NCAVF in August of 2015. Prior to that, Mr. Gabler spent nearly fifteen years gaining experience as a medic working with and around emergency medical service, fire, and law enforcement personnel. Most of his experience included working in the pre-hospital emergency environment and included hundreds of thousands of hours driving an ambulance and responding to 911 calls. His EMS career spanned working in emergency sports paramedicine, emergency ambulance response, and industrial paramedicine. He also worked as a set medic for the film and television industry where he provided EMS and scene safety as well as consulting for EMS realism on set.At NCAVF, Mr. Gabler works as both a Case Manager and Forensic Expert. As a Forensic Expert, Mr. Gabler assumes an active hands-on role with nearly all of the cases NCAVF works daily. He closely works with NCAVF’s other forensic experts in the forensic lab by working throughout the forensic process. Mr. Gabler assists in both the evaluation and enhancement portions and often is present during the entire process, from the receipt of the evidence all the way to the finished enhanced exhibit. Mr. Gabler is also often the individual tasked with giving evaluation reports to clients, attorneys, law enforcement officials, and other forensic experts. Additionally, Mr. Gabler served in the United States Air Force, is an expert in firearms, and has extensive training and experience in their use, operation, and identification.As Case Manager, Mr. Gabler helps to keep track of pending, open, and closed cases. Mr. Gabler is in regular contact with clients, attorneys, law enforcement officials, and other forensic experts. He helps to schedule appointments, investigations, meetings, and other events necessary for the daily operation of NCAVF. Show less
