Youth for Policy is an initiative by IID (Institute of Informatics and Development) that promotes informed public participation in the public policy process. IID is a platform that brings a young grassroots voice to the national policy process. It brings young people from different areas of the country into meaningful contact with each other and develops network building. It also helps promote international understanding and goodwill and work toward the goals of national and international policy. Finally, It develops leadership potential and decision-making process in youth.

The Barishal Nook is a self-designed learning centre which enables marginalised community members to pursue their own education, based on their individual needs, interests, passions and dreams. Nooks contribute to important Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) such as SDG 4 (ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all), SDG 5 (gender equality), SDG 8 (decent work for all) and SDG 10 (reduced inequalities).The Barishal Nook is a project by IFNB in partnership with knodel foundation, Project DEFY, BASTOB and YOU Stiftung - Bildung für Kinder in Not, and supported by Bosch Global (Bangladesh), University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB), Tech Academy and Green Ink. It is implemented and run by BYS - Barishal Youth Society, the largest youth-based organisation in the Southern region of Bangladesh.At Project DEFY: Design Education for Yourself, the mission is to change the way people think and ignite individual passions so students can believe in their abilities to educate themselves, others and their communities. With a computer at hand, the community customizes a makerspace that fits their own requirements, called a Nook. At the Nook, all ideas and information are shared and can be further developed by the community, which in turn can find ways to boost their economy. There are no set roles or hierarchy. As such, this creates a pure democracy system, where each learner designs his/her own education, while within a community context and influence.

The UNGCMY is working with five goals: Policy and Advocacy; Capacity Building; Knowledge; and Action on a range of substantive topics at the global, regional, national, and sub-national levels across the three pillars of the UN-human rights, development, and peace and security.Working at the thematic areas and relevant objectives, as namely; to ensure migration voluntary, orderly, and regular migration; to protect migrants through right-based border governance measures; to support the integration of migrants and their contribution to development; and to improve value-driven and evidence-based policymaker and public debate and enhancing cooperation on migration.
