Morgan is one of the most intelligent, creative and enthusiastic professionals I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Morgan is currently the program manager and design strategist at one of my client organizations (N Square, a nuclear-risk innovation funder collaborative). I actually don’t know how she does it ALL: keeping the day-to-day functions of an entrepreneurial initiative humming along, managing a network of cross-sector innovators, scouting new trends in sustainable business, and creating compelling presentations on nuclear security and innovation for diverse audiences. She is a boundless source of new ideas and knows just the right tools to use – from the latest tech to project management and business plan tools. Winning ideas end up in successfully managed projects that meet big goals. Perhaps what stands out most is her generosity in collaboration, taking time to educate her colleagues on the frameworks and processes of design thinking and innovation. Morgan is a top-notch professional and an invaluable member of any team.

Over the past year, I have had the privilege of serving on the Presidio Graduate School Alumni Board with Morgan. As the Chair of Community Development, Morgan took a lead role in designing avenues for alumni programming and engagement strategies in order increase the engagement of alumni with the institution and with each other. Morgan has boundless energy, enthusiasm and the remarkable ability to engage/excite large groups of people. Her ability to think strategically about engagement as it maps back to the schools goals is one of her main strengths. Tactically, she has been instrumental in planning events to meet engagement goals for our Board and for the Presidio Graduate School in general. She is self-reliant, very dependable and a pleasure to work with. She will succeed in any role she decides to pursue.

Deputy Director of N Square, a multimillion dollar initiative designed to stimulate innovation in the fields of nuclear disarmament, nonproliferation and safety and security. N Square is the brainchild of five of the largest peace and security funders in the United States: The Carnegie Corporation of New York, the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, the Ploughshares Fund, and the Skoll Global Threats Fund. N Square is based on the idea that new forms of cross-sector collaboration—combined with the sheer ingenuity of an engaged public—will enable us to innovate our way to a world free from the risks associated with nuclear weapons and fissile materials.N Square is currently developing a network of innovators, influencers and experts in technology and media. Our goal is to encourage new ideas and attract new technical, human and financial resources to combat nuclear threats. N Square will provide seed funding for some of most promising solutions to emerge from this network. In my role at N Square, my primary functions are managing programs and relationships across our networks, co-creating strategies that drive our desired network outcomes and impact, and budget management ($6M over 4 years). I work closely with an outside evaluator to track success metrics internally and across partnerships to aid in program evaluation and to inform learning and adaptive strategy creation. I also present and facilitate interactive sessions using design/systems thinking and strategic foresight methods. I've facilitated and presented at TED conferences, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, RISD, the National Nuclear Security Administration, the UN International Atomic Energy Agency, and the World Futures Society Summit, among others.www.nsquare.org "Our problems are manmade—therefore, they can be solved by man. In addition to supporting the lead professor, I designed and taught the semester-long scenario planning module. The students were required to work with their Experiential Learning partners ("clients") to explore trends and drivers in their domain, identify critical uncertainties, and create scenarios that yielded long-term, flexible strategies for managing those uncertainties in the future.
