      Throughout my time working at the University of Lincoln I have gained a unique insight and valuable experience in delivering both first and second-line technical support within a high-energy fast paced environment. Upon starting I was assigned to assist with the University’s rolling replacement scheme for IT hardware. However shortly after, I began assisting the Service Desk team handling inbound calls and support requests. As well as this, I was often tasked to support the Networking and Audio/Visual teams with the installation and configuration of new hardware from AV control systems to wireless access point configuration. This allowed me to gain valuable experience using industry-standard tools including but not limited to Cisco Prime for network monitoring and configuration, as well as Zendesk and Cherwell Service Management systems. During the summer of 2018, I developed a fully-functioning prototype of an asset management system to be proposed for use across the entire campus. The purpose of this system was to keep track of hardware assets owned by both the University’s ICT department, and the individual schools. I developed the prototype in PHP, HTML/CSS/JS, using SQL to store information. As well as this the system was capable of retrieving the live status of active workstations through the use of Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI). Show less

      I volunteered to complete 6 weeks of work experience at a local company operating on a nationwide scale, Appamondo. The company specialised in the setting up, integration, and ongoing maintenance of online systems such as Zendesk and G Suite. During my time I gained a plethora of knowledge relating to the setup, management, and customization of Zendesk - as well as a wide variety of techniques regarding the integration of Zendesk into existing sites using PHP.
