    • Traveling Abroad: Self Exploration
      • Feb 2016 - Apr 2016

After gaining employment immediately after graduation in a field that aligned with my collegiate studies, I was restless living in my hometown. I took the opportunity to judiciously save during that time period in order to make a solo trip abroad. I enjoyed independently planning so that I could experience Europe for its rich culture and employment opportunities. In spending time with locals as well as with other individuals traveling, I gained an increased appreciation for diverse ideas and experiences. My days were filled with culture, exploration and adventure. While in Paris, I volunteered for a TedX event, scheduled to debut in May 2016. The event, titled Beyond Our Limits, showcases speakers from around the world who dare to push the limits in order to overcome mental and physical obstacles. Over the course of three months, I relied on my resiliency and independence gaining increased perspective and confidence. All of these competencies will expand my skillset. Show less
