Newport Academy and Newport Institute are Residential Treatment facilities for adolescents and young adults. Our facilities focus primarily on treating our clients mental health diagnoses, most commonly depression and anxiety, as well as any co-occurring behaviors that they may be struggling with. With our holistic approach to treatment, we address our clients emotional, spiritual, mental, physical, and relational wellbeing. As an Admissions Coordinator, I am a mental health advocate and I am passionate about helping others get the care that they need. I take great care in every conversation that I have and ensure that I am creating a safe space for families to share their stories with me. It is my role to help eliminate the additional stress of the admissions process for an already stressful situation.

As a Senior Captain, I was able to lead my team of 4 through the 19 week COOP program. Together we maintained 100% retention of our 17 student cohort. We were able to work together and make swift adjustments when unexpected changes happened to the daily/weekly schedule. As a team, we were able to foster a safe space for our cohort which resulted in strong connections among the students. Within 3 months after the conclusion of program, 100% of the students in our cohort have overcome underemployment with most students remaining in the digital marketing or tech industry.
