I began substituting after graduating Auburn University. I took classes and exams in order to qualify for this position; I worked at Saint Thomas More School in Decatur Georgia. I was a substitute teacher for 1st, 4th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. I had to adapt teaching methods for each grade and each child. This taught me how to be prepared, work with diversity, and how to communicate. I also had to learn patience and understanding in order to be successful.
