As a babysitter, I care for children for a set amount of hours when their parents are away. During this time, I entertain and engage with the children with games, activities, and crafts. Along with entertainment, I assist children with their chores, homework, and other home needs while sticking to the schedule set by their parents. I also developed trusting relationships with children and other parents. As a babysitter, I care for children for a set amount of hours when their parents are away. National History Academy is a 4-week summer program for high achieving high school students that are passionate about American history. The academy uses site base learning and case-method teaching to immerse students' understanding of various historical perspectives. As a Teaching Assistant, I worked with students and teachers to provide academic support, including guiding class discussions, reviewing course material and site visits, moderating Braver Angles classroom debates, analyzing various historical perspectives, and helping students complete their final projects. Outside the classroom, I led student clubs and organizations, wellness, dorm activities and mentored students. Show less
