Genre : Afro/Funk/Highlife/Alternative Location: Lagos “Bandittude" is an eclectic all female six piece band exploring the Afro, Highlife and Funk inspired genres of music while they draw on the work of artists/bands like The Compozers, Alternate sound, Kool and the gang, The hooligans. The band was formed in August 2019 by Morenike Oyewole to create a platform for women Empowerment and Support. The band aims to inspire women and girls around the world as they contribute to the Girl Power movement, using music as a tool. Within a few months since inception, The band had staged a Valerie concert in collaboration with Freedom Park Lagos for the 2019 International Day of the girl child, played at the Felabration concert and at the Celebration of Amazons event at the Ikoyi Club. They also usually record “Band Attack Sessions” where they remix, rearrange and reharmonize popular songs. Bandittude is know for Original Arrangements, Covers and Repertoire.
