I had the pleasure of working with Allie for a year at Second Harvest in Spokane, Washington. To say Allie was a inspiration and source of motivation for my work that year is something of an understatement. Allie was able to give me constructive ways to improve my work with her critical and honest perspective. Allie has the unique ability to take great amounts of data and organize it in a way that helped systems within our organization run more smoothly. Allie is a community builder and goes out of her way to make people feel comfortable both in and outside of work. Advocating for other people and making sure everyone's voice is heard are important attributes of Allie's character. She is creative individual with a sense of humor that made working together wonderful. I hope life presents the opportunity for us to work together in the future.

I'm lucky to have worked with Allie, a motivated researcher and program development specialist with a rare combination of energy, patience and accuracy. We hired Allie as an Americorps Vista at Second Harvest Inland Northwest to help develop our emerging volunteer powered nutrition and food literacy work. She immediately got to work developing training and management systems from scratch that would enable us to meet and exceed our volunteer recruitment and retention goals for the year. In addition Allie dove headfirst into the research and evaluation side of nutrition education, developing high-quality materials that demonstrated changes in knowledge, behaviors and attitudes over time. I observed Allie going above and beyond during the 2 years she spent at Second Harvest, championing interdepartmental collaboration and clearly communicating the impact of investments in volunteer development and direct service client education programs. Allie's talent as an organizer and researcher made her a valuable member of our team. I'm sure she'll be a great asset to the next organization she joins.
