Both Montgomery and I were studying at UC Irvine as graduate students. We were using Integrated Nanosystems Research Facility. We were heavily using the DRIE (ASE), RIE (AOE), E-beam evaporator, Karl Suss mask aligner (MA6) and wet etching benches for our MEMS research. Even though we were from different research labs, we could share these equipments without any conflict. Sometime, we were glad to share our fabrication experience and skills. He is very creative and skillful in Microfabrication. He is a very nice person and very easy to due with. I strongly recommend Montgomery!

Conducted research and development of new greenhouse controllers to add to the product lineup. Such devices include the VersiSTEP (total environmental controller, single or multi-zone), and the Versatile Vent Control. Conducted both electronic and mechanical design and worked with purchasing to reduce cost on products when releasing them for production. Led the process of obtaining UL listings on new controllers as well as solving UL related issues on existing listings. Worked closely with upper management and vendors to ensure direction of development was consistent with the company vision of simplicity and robustness while also appealing to the market desire for compact and inexpensive controllers.
