  Camp Counsellors spend the summer season of eight or nine weeks looking after children between the ages of 6 and 15. The work is extremely hard but fulfilling.As a counselor you are expected to assume a position of authority and trust. You become a fosterparent,teacher and confident to the children in their charge.The children are from very varied backgrounds which range from affluent middle class households to deprived inner city backgrounds.Harriman Lodge involves living,working and playing with children 24 hours a day.My task involved among these expectations also a form of creative therapy.Groups consisted of children, but also mentally or physically disabled adults.
