I took on freelance gigs until I officially started my company in 2021. Throughout this time, I self-managed photography for weddings, events, portrait sessions, landscapes, and art. I run my own business social media, advertising, and scheduling. I also do all my own logos, design work, website layouts, branding, etc. As well, I run e-commerce for artwork and landscape photography. I was an active Creative of the Monarch studios in Ogden, UT from August 2019-March 2020. Participant in exhibitions such as the Maine College of Art Mail Me 2014, Maine College of Art Student Show 2015, Maine College of Art Film Festival 2016, Future Tense 2020, BFA Exhibition 2020, and PHOTOxCOLLECTIVE’s Reminiscence 2021. Most recently, we created this new position within the company that I took on based on my proven attention to detail and strict adherence to high quality, the expertise I gained as a photographer working from start to finish in the process and also my formal education in photography. I worked alongside the packaging manager to ensure accuracy and efficiency of every job that is delivered to our schools across Utah, Idaho, Nevada, and Wyoming. This includes data entry into our tracker system of each item that is sent, with dates they are shipped or personally delivered. To enhance the experience of each school, I designed a customizable template with their name on it, a list of what is contained in each box, the date it is sent, a personal thank you, and the personal signature of who did the quality check on the way out. My hired-on title here is school photographer, however as company needs change between fall, spring, and off seasons, I’ve learned many different roles to keep my hours full and our customers happy. I’ve been involved in the process from beginning to end, when the picture is taken to the delivery of their order. This includes picture day, editing, printing, delegating necessary and time sensitive tasks, making books, packaging, correcting errors, quality control, delivering pictures, and mailing. Show less

During the fall in the school division, I took portraits of kids ranging from Pre-K to seniors in High School, as well as staff and teachers at each school. I travel to each location every day with the equipment provided by the company. I set up my own full portable studio and tear it back down every time. I usually take between 50-200 portraits in the span of a few hours for each job. What's most important is to make my clients feel comfortable and happy each time we meet. During the winter holiday months, I worked in the studio division at JCP Portraits. This consisted of customer service, posing, taking images, editing, and selling the images to clients. Clients are of any age, ranging from individuals to large families and business to casual. During the spring, I’ve been doing a continuation of the fall school portrait program. I also am working the spring program which is comparable to the fall, but allows the kids to have more fun poses with direction from me, and also a little bit of a different lighting setup. As far as being a lead photographer goes, the job entails communicating with the schools to make sure information is relayed correctly, making sure all of the kids are photographed who needed to be, enforcing COVID safety guidelines, completing and shipping paperwork, and generally managing each job I have for a school.
