Creating a safe, fun, and learning environment for students faced with housing displacement as well as collaborating with other organizations that are geared towards focusing on the holistic approach to a child's well-being. In addition, my team and I focus on the child's academic development and find fun ways to help them excel in the areas of reading and language arts. We also consider our student's social-emotional traits and how they can better navigate through the chronicles of growth and maturity as adolescents. Show less

Introducing new dishes to students through the education of many different cultures and ethnicities, by demonstrating to students how to prepare and cook meals using plant-based ingredients. Students in my course learned new ways to prepare meals by mincing, chopping, stirring, combining, mixing, and measuring. Students learned to share and work in many different groups throughout the semester, building relationships and culture amongst classmates.
