I have built rapport with each member in our service, engaging in one on one counselling and negotiating skills. During my first placement, I was required to work directly with families, engaging in family counselling sessions. This has given me direct experience with people in high stress environments. During this time, I have come into contact with current policies surrounding Child Protection Legislation, and campaigns in both a government and non-government sector. My current placement has given me unique skills working within the mental health sector. I have recently been running psychodynamic capacity building groups within my placement. This has involved leading a group of up to 10 members in a capacity building topics, covering subjects regarding different types relationships. I have taken on an organisational role to conduct these groups. I have taken responsibility in managing these groups and have worked in a team capacity to create ideas for our new program. I have independently written the content for our Real Relationships group. This has required strong leadership, communication and responsibility.
