  Classes taught include: • News Writing and Reporting: An introduction to news reporting and writing focused on the newsgathering, interviewing and storytelling skills that conform to standards of clarity, accuracy and fairness. • Speech Communications: An exploration of human intrapersonal and interpersonal communications with a focus on effective public speaking. • Understanding Mass Media: A study of the impact of mass media on American culture and on the cultures of other nations and how economic forces influence and shape the media. • Broadcast Journalism: A practical introduction to the basic tools, techniques and vocabulary of broadcast journalism.• Journalism and Democracy: An exploration of the history of American journalism and its role in democracy examining industry trends, technology, pioneers and standard-bearers across all news distribution platforms.Administrative Duties:• Assisted Department Chair in curriculum development including establishing SLOs (Student Learning Outcomes), performing and evaluating annual curriculum assessment for Middle States Commission on Higher Education, and formalizing standards and practices for Communication and Journalism adjuncts.
