Our goal was to gather data by conducting application reviews and interviews to give insights for future design features. I was part of the BigDataX Research Experience for Undergraduates(REU) at Illinois Institute of Technology where I conducted research in collaboration with a PhD student. We analyzed the performance of various queue-based data structures used in multi-core processors. During my time, I engaged with researchers in academia and Argonne National Laboratory at panels held to provide information about graduate studies. An example would be when I used the color wheel to teach the student long and short vowel sounds and then we read a book relevant to what we worked on that day.
