United World College (UWC) educators invariably need to posses great organizational skills, the ability to constantly learn and teach simultaneously, and hold complex responsibilities as the teachers, guides, mentors, and sometimes "assistant parents" for students from extremely diverse backgrounds. Since joining the Mahindra United World College of India (MUWCI) in July 2022, I have come to know Monika as a warm and welcoming colleague and fellow resident, an engaging teacher of Global Politics, a kind and always available Wada adult, and a very committed Triveni faculty supervisor for complex student leadership fora like Global Affairs. While I did not directly supervise her work as IBDP Coordinator, I was always struck by her dedication to the active, quick learning and her openness to constructive feedback that such a role requires, especially when taken on in addition to so many others and in a complex ecosystem like MUWCI. Monika is an intrinsically motivated, value-driven, and empathetic educator. She is the kind of faculty who would hold multiple roles and often work over-time, but return from an intensive week-long

Monika is a conscientious and hard working educator. She is an exceptional teacher and a highly effective educational leader. Her students have commended Monika for her outstanding teaching abilities and practices. She is especially effective at leveraging digital resources to benefit her students. She employs a diverse array of tools, including dedicated websites and her own you-tube videos which enrich learning and student understanding. Additionally, as an educational leader she puts in place systems and strategies to better affect teaching and learning. She has comprehensively documented various processes in her role as IBDP Coordinator. Moreover, she has refined and streamlined assessment processes. She also creates environments that are conducive to student learning and well-being. I cannot stress highly enough Monika's outstanding abilities as a teacher and educational leader and if given the opportunity I would not hesitate to hire her again.
