Narrative and Story developer
-
Jul 2018 - Nov 2019
My unique role on the team was to theatricalize the lived human experiences of people dealing with the impacts of opioid misuse and script them into intertwining paths using with dialogue, internal monologues and significant plot points to create an empathetic story arc. After using a design thinking narrative development process of listening, researching, designing, testing and prototyping the characters and story, the team created a 3 dimensional narrative exhibit that combined authentic character development, relatable locations, personal items and scientific information into a visitor experience that was moving, informative, and worked to break down stigma and build empathy for people struggling with addiction.
