Sasha Netchaev

My name is Sasha Netchaev, and I am a student at Chapman University that worked as a Graphic Design Assistant with Monica, my Marketing and Communications Director for Chapman Alumni Relations. Monica is the most hardworking, thoughtful, and technologically savvy person I know. She is always juggling ten assignments at once, while maintaining a calm, positive outlook that ensures the success of her assignments. Monica is a team player, helping everyone in the office with their needs, always putting others and the Alumni Association before her own priorities. She was fully dedicated to making Chapman Alumni Association events and functions successful. She always thoroughly explained her assignments, and trained me on the aspects I was unfamiliar with. Monica fully trained me on editing and accessing the iModules database for Chapman University’s Alumni website, which was our core source of communication with Alum. Through all the process of assembling and distributing information, Monica has had a patient, but efficient work style. She has the perfect personality to balance management in a demanding environment and is able to anticipate upcoming assignments and Alum needs. She is able to clearly and effectively communicate the necessary tasks for a successful completion of a project without ever getting frustrated. I am truly lucky to have worked with someone so knowledgeable, caring, and easygoing as Monica!

I met Professor Shukla when I signed up for the Data Analysis class as part of my MBA program at Brandman University. Professor Shukla is very passionate about the topic of statistics. She lectured, provided examples, delivered on questions and went out of her way to help those of us who are not as passionate about the topic. I was surprised at not only how much I learned through her class but also at the level of retention I had as I was working on my final projects for the class. I also noticed that through the 8-week session, I started developing a new way to think critically about reports I read or hear that are based on statistics and what the analysis of this information mean. Professor Shukla made a hard topic enjoyable and learnable. I don't think I could have been able to survive the class if it were not for her professionalism and educational approach.
