Camp Shriver provides low income families in the Boston area a free inclusive summer sports camp for kids with and without intellectual disabilities together sharing the same experiences. As a counselor I focused to provide meaningful play, learning opportunities for kids to interact in valuable ways with their peers—no matter what their disability status. I was responsible for maintaining programming and providing an inclusive environment.
