Provided excellent customer service to customers by making them feel welcome and appreciated while they enjoyed their dining experience with us. Utilized great organizational skills and efficiency while taking orders, running food and drinks from the kitchen and bar, clearing tables of dishes and bringing them to the dish room, restocking dishes, silverware, and glasses to the bar and dining room, while maintaining composure and professionalism. Applied the importance of teamwork and learning to ask for help when needed. Show less

Kotsovos is a Bridal, Fur, and Fine Apparel store, located in Montgomery, Ohio. At Kotsovos, I work as a stylist, where I work with young women and mothers to find their "perfect" prom dress, homecoming dress, Mother of the Groom/Bride gown, and any other formal wear that may be desired. I not only work with these women to find a perfect dress for their occasion, but I also work with these women to build their confidence and make them feel beautiful for their special event. Gaslight Gourmet Cookies was a small, "mom and pop" bakery located on Ludlow in Cincinnati, Ohio. I learned and acquired a few different skills as I worked here, for example, I learned to fry a Portuguese dessert known as a Malasada; it is a donut popular in Hawaii. I also hand-dipped macaroons and sorted cookie displays. Aside from learning a few baking skills, I worked the front counter, where I was able to interact with customers and make their day a little special with a delicious, homemade, fresh cookie. Working here was a very enjoyable experience, and I am so grateful I had the opportunity to work for such a nice boss right near the university. Show less

I started working at Old Navy as a seasonal position for the holiday season. My shifts changed between early morning, around 5:00 am, to working the afternoon or evening shifts. I worked as a cashier, and I acquired knowledge of how to use the register, work with customers, expand my customer service skills, and how to manage busy rushes and remain calm. As I worked the 5 am shift, I straightened merchandise and marked sale items once the new season began. I enjoyed experiencing retail with a company as successful as Old Navy, and I am grateful for the opportunity to work there. Show less

As the junior guard director at La Salle High School, I was able to work with children between the ages of 10-13 years old, teaching them basic technique exercises involved with color guard, as well as, choreographing their spring show. It was such a rewarding experience to teach young girls who wanted to be a part of my high school program, like I once did when I was their age, and to encourage them to pursue the activity once they joined high school, as well as, after high school. I worked at LaRosa's for almost 2 years and had an amazing experience learning and accomplishing tasks with an ever-changing diverse staff. There's more to the job than just making hundreds of high quality orders and maintaining a productive work area. I even had the opportunity to lead by example and help the new kitchen staff members as they started, because I was succeeding and accomplishing the job well enough. Despite the demanding and high stress environment, I was happy to form relationships with fellow kitchen staff and managers who can support each other and provide a positive experience for the customer.
