Molly was a Student Chair of their Student Staff Liaison Committee (SSLC) as a Student Academic Representative (StAR) at Winchester Student Union, 2019-2022. As Chair, Molly was elected by her coursemates to represent the voice of the cohort and to run/assist the running of the SSLC meetings for her course through chairing meetings. Being a Chair offers students the opportunity to collect opinions from their peers and feedback to University and Union staff through SSLCs, action minutes from their peers on their course and other STARs , liaise with their Programme Leader and other staff ensuring the student voice is heard, and empower real change within the courses that we offer. Through their role, Molly enhanced her skills in communication, leadership, teamwork, organisation, time management and change-making.
