GLOCAL Erasmus Mundus+ Master's Student
-
Sep 2017 - Aug 2019
I was enrolled in the Global Markets, Local Creativities (GLOCAL) Erasmus Mundus+ Master's degree program coordinated by the University of Glasgow, Universitat de Barcelona, and Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam. I was also awarded a Program Country scholarship to support my participation in this program. Over two years, my cohort and I learned about topics such as globalization, economics, policy and governance, entrepreneurship, trade, social science and historical research, and the interconnectedness of today's global world. I studied at each university with 30 other individuals from all over the world. For my thesis, I performed a historical and workforce development analysis on a U.S. Army base in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. Show less

Market Manager
-
2010 - May 2015
I coordinated the vendors, staff, volunteers, budget, and overall experience of Indy's first winter farmers market. My main tasks focused on the day-to-day management of the market's opportunities and challenges. I managed 2-4 staff members and more than 60 vendors each season. In addition, I was responsible for creating partnerships, implementing a system to accept SNAP benefits as payment, and ensuring the overall health of the market and its vendors. This required extreme attention to detail, excellent communication, empathy, quick problem solving, and multitasking. Show less
