  I have developed and taught a number of courses for undergraduate students and professionals, including Introduction to Wildland Fire, Fire Ecology, Forest Ecology, Fire Monitoring and Modeling, Fuel Treatments and Modeling, and graduate seminar. In addition, I maintain an active research program that has covered a number of topics, including fire effects in the Gila National Forest, buffelgrass spread in Saguaro National Park, effects of post-fire herbicide application in Zion National Park, effects of post-fire seeding, and long-term effects of wildfire in northern Arizona.
