Working as part of a small team, I am responsible for driving sales and increasing revenue in my territories, whilst developing relationships with both customers and publishers. We sell a wide variety of publications in all subject areas which we promote to general trade, academic and professional markets equally. Both office-based and involving extensive travel to Spain, Italy, Greece, Portugal and Romania, this is a role in which I use my three languages on a regular basis. Additionally, it is my responsibility to process orders, promote new titles, organise and manage events, and source new business by introducing customers to the potential of our products. Customer care is a vital part of this role, so building and investing in relationships with booksellers and publishers is a key responsibility for me. I provide this by keeping in regular contact with bookshops, library suppliers and wholesalers, resolving delivery or discount issues and always ensuring my customers are aware of the newest titles. Data management is also an essential skill required for this role, as I am responsible for the handling of publisher and title information, using complex software on a daily basis. Show less

Whilst at Quick-Thinking, I was able to develop skills such as proofreading, copy writing, project managing and liaising with the creative department and design studios and reviewing creative concepts. One of my favourite parts of the job was managing clients and forming professional relationships with them, as I would describe myself as a people person who enjoys meeting new people and who thrives in a vibrant and social environment. Oct 2012 - May 2013
Working for the Anglo Mexican Foundation I was responsible for the organisation and the running of a Conversation Club, which took place four times a week. This involved planning each class specifically to the needs of every English level, researching and providing relevant materials and teaching the classes; covering a wide range of topics from current affairs to contemporary issues in the UK. I was also responsible for the creation, organisation and daily running of the company's first and only English language book club, where students were given the chance to participate in extra-curricular speaking and reading as part of a group.
