Studying history at Newcastle University has been an unusual and challenging experience both intellectually and mentally. Having had my first year cut short, and second year online due to the pandemic, the 'University Experience' that myself and my peers all hoped for, didn't turn out the way we expected. However, despite this I have developed an optimistic attitude to work and life. I have learnt that patience, perseverance, and an open mind are vital when approaching both work and life experiences. I truly believe that positive change is happening all over the world, across industries and I don't want to miss a second of it.

During the coronavirus pandemic I was fortunate enough to get work as a key worker in a factory called Hello Fresh. The work involved packing up food packages for 8 hours a day. It was really good experience as I had to do a lot more physical labour in comparison to other work I’ve done.
